Hannan, 35 year-old, married, mother of two
What did you want to be when you were a child?
I've always liked designing clothes for dolls, and when I grew up I designed some home clothes for me too. I don't have a sewing machine, so I made it all by hand. I really wanted to take it further, to study fashion design and sewing, and to be a famous designer.
What would you like to do today?
I'd like to study, to have my kids study, and mainly to live in a relaxed environment. No wars. Here, there are weddings all the time. The music you hear outside right now is also a wedding. I'm not happy about it, because I know that they'll get divorced within a year. Sometimes, I want to move to a quieter place, but those who were born here find it hard to leave the sea. It calms me. I wake up in the morning, take a walk with my sisters on the beach; it gives me air for the whole day.
What is your dream?
If I had no limitations, I would've liked to have a space in my home where women could come to, share some tea and talk about life. In the meanwhile, I'll design them a dress or other clothing, and share my personal life experience with them. Designing dresses and souls.
