מאיפה אתה מגיע?
אני מגיע מהרבה מקומות. סיימתי לא מזמן שנה וחצי של עבודה במדריד. המשכתי לבקר חברים באיטליה באגם קומו, ביקרתי את המשפחה במקסיקו, בקיץ הייתי פה בירושלים ועכשיו חזרתי לתל אביב. אני מתנדב בהוסטל, עושה עבודות גרפיקה למרות שאני בעצם פילוסוף.
למה אתה מטייל?
אני כל הזמן זז. בשנתיים האחרונות הייתי בשבע מדינות, לפני זה גרתי בלונדון, צרפת, פולין.. יש לזה שתי סיבות. הסיבה הפרקטית, בגלל הלימודים. היו לי מלגות לארה״ב, איטליה ולונדון למאסטר בפילוסופיה.
הסיבה השנייה, היותר פילוסופית, יש בתוכי כל הזמן חיפוש בנפש. ואני צריך לצאת מאזור הנוחות שלי. תרבות אחרת גורמת לך לקבל יותר מודעות מי אתה, לחוות את השוני ואת מה שיש במשותף. אני מרגיש שזה גורם לי לגדול. זה גם גורם לי לתת, אני משאיר משהו ממני בכל מקום. מין עסקת חליפין. יש לי מחברת שאני נותן לאנשים שאני פוגש להשאיר לי שם משהן, חלק כותבים, חלק מציירים, חלק כותבים בשפות שאני לא יודע לקרוא, אני אוהב לדפדף בזה.
מה היעד הבא?
אני עדין לא יודע, יש לי 3 אפשרויות – לחזור למקום אחר בספרד, או לעבודה בעיצוב גרפי בניו יורק, בחברה בינ״ל שעבדתי בה שם, או לויאטנם. יש להם תוכנית לילדים עם קשיים, ומחפשים מורה לאנגלית. אני מרגיש שזה ויאטנם. זה משהו שאם לא אעשה עכשיו, אולי לא תהיה לי עוד הזדמנות

Where do you come from?
I come from many places. I recently finished 18 months of work in Madrid. From there, I went to visit friends at Lake Como, in Italy, visited my family in Mexico. In the summer, I was here, in Jerusalem, and now I'm back in Tel Aviv. I volunteer at the Hostel, doing some graphic design work, even though I'm actually a Philosopher.
Why do you travel?
I'm constantly on the move. In the last two years I was in seven countries, before that I lived in London, France, Poland… There are two reasons for this; the practical one, for studies. I had scholarships for my Masters in Philosophy in America, Italy and London.
The second reason, the more philosophical one, is there's a constant soul-search going on inside me. And, I need to move away from my comfort zone.
The encounter with a different culture makes you gain more awareness of who you are, experience the differences as well as the common grounds. I feel that it makes me grow. It also makes me give; everywhere I go, I leave something behind; an exchange of sorts. I have this notebook that I ask people I meet on the way to then leave something inside it for me; some would write, some would draw, some would write in languages I don't even know how to read, but I love going through it either way.
What is your next destination?
I still don't know. I have three options – I can go to a different place in Spain, go do graphic design work for an international company in New York, where I worked in the past, or I can go to Vietnam. They have a program for children with difficulties there, and they are looking for an English teacher. I feel it would be Vietnam. It's the kind of thing that if I won't do it now, I might not get another chance.
