במקור מאלבניה, אבל עכשיו אני גר במקדוניה, מעצב תלבושות בקולנוע במדינות הבלקן.
מקדוניה מאד קטנה, רק 2 מיליון תושבים. היא מזכירה לי את ישראל עם המיקס האנשים, המסגדים והכנסיות. פעם גם אצלנו היו בתי כנסת.. האמת שיכול להיות שאני יהודי. אנחנו חושבים שהסבתא של אמא שלי הייתה יהודייה. מצאנו בתעודת לידה של אבא שלה שכתוב בשם "יצחק זכריה", אבל אין מסמך שממש אומר שהוא היה יהודי. אולי בגלל זה אני פה עכשיו.
אני וחברה שלי הגענו לישראל לפני שעה.. בטיול בהרים באלבניה פגשנו זוג ישראליים נחמדים, ונבקר אותם. אנחנו גם רוצים להכיר פה את חיי הלילה בתל אביב, שמענו שיש פה מסיבות מאד טובות.
אני אוהב את המדינה שאני גר בה, מקדוניה מדינה מאד יפה, 80% ממנה זה הרים. האוכל אורגני, אנחנו מגדלים, אין אוכל מתועש. אבל, מידי פעם אני צריך להתרחק. גם משעמום, כי זה מקום קטן, וגם מהשחיתות ומהלאומניות, בערך כמו כאן. בנוסף גם אין יציבות כלכלית. אנשים מרווחים 150-200 יורו לחודש. בתחום שלי בקושי יש עבודה, בערך סרט בשנה, ככה שיש לי הרבה זמן לטייל, לפגוש תרבויות אחרות.
אני רוצה להגיע לאירופה. גרתי באמסטרדם בזמן שלמדתי שם .אני רוצה לחזור לשם. הייתי רוצה לטייל גם בסקנדינביה, אבל זה טיול יותר יקר. אנחנו מתאימים את הרצונות למה שיש בארנק.

I was born and raised in Albania, though I live in Macedonia these days. I'm a costume designer for the Macedonian movie industry, and a few other Balkan states.
Macedonia is very small with only 2 million people. It reminds me of Israel very much, with the mix of people, mosques and churches. We also used to have synagogues. I might even be Jewish. We think my mother's grandmother was Jewish. We found that her father's birth certificate said his name was 'Yitzhak Zachariah'. Apart from that, there's no other document that proves he was Jewish. Maybe that is why I'm here now.
My girlfriend and I just landed in Israel about an hour ago for the first time ever. We met an Israeli couple on a mountain hike in Albania. They were really nice and we decided to visit them. We also want to check out Tel Aviv's party scene; we heard it's really good.
I love traveling the world, encountering different cultures, and going out of my own country a bit. I love my home; Macedonia is a beautiful country with gorgeous mountains covering 80% of it. I pick my own food, like my grandmother used to do, organic food. Though, nobody calls it organic, it's simply what there is. Everybody is used to growing their own food, and not consume labeled industrial foods.
That said, I still need to occasionally step away and clear my head. It can get quite boring there… and there is lots of corruption and nationalism, more or less like you have here. It is also not that stable financially; people earn an average of 150-200€ per month. Those who get 500-600€ are considered lucky. There is not much work in my field. There are 3-4 films made a year. If I'm lucky, I get assigned one of them, so I have a lot of time to travel… all the money I make is spent on traveling.
I would like to return to Europe. I lived in Amsterdam for three and a half years, while I was studying there. I want to go back and travel there, maybe in some other parts of Holland too, maybe Belgium. Before that, I would like to travel through Scandinavia, but that's an expensive trip and we are trying to set our wish-list according to the budget.
