מהר פוג’י. עשינו שם מסלול עם אופניים של 20 ק"מ. זה היה מאד מאד קשה.. אנחנו מטיילים ביפן שלושה שבועות ועשינו הרבה טיולי אופניים, אבל כאן כמעט נשברנו באמצע, העליות היו קשות במיוחדץ

למה אתם מטיילים

ג’יימס: Freedom. זה כל מה שאני מחפש להרגיש.

אלכסייה: התחלתי לטייל לפני 3 שנים, זה הביא לי הרבה עצמאות לחיים, שפה חדשה, ובעיקר אותו [מצביעה על ג’יימס], הכרנו שהגעתי לאוסטרליה, ועברנו לגור יחד.

לפני כן טיילתי בהרבה מקומות בעולם, תאילנד, מלזיה, מצרים, טוניס, ובאירופה. המסקנה שלי היא שכל אחד צריך לזוז מהמקום שלו, מאזור הנוחות. זה מלמד הרבה ומביא דברים שלא יכולת לתכנן. אומרים :

הלמידה הגדולה היא ללמוד מכל חוויה. כשמטיילים יש גם שחור וגם לבן. יש בעיות, למשל כמו שאבדתי את הכסף שלי, אבל יש גם פרספקטיבה ולימוד, ואז במקום להתעסק עם זה, כי ממילא זה לא יעזור, אני צוחקת על זה.

מה היעד הבא

אוסטרליה, מחר! אנחנו עוברים לסידני. מתכננים להגיע לטיול ארוך באירופה בעוד כמה חודשים.

At the market in Kyoto

1. Where do you come from?

Mount Fuji. We did a 20km bicycle track which was very hard. We've been traveling in Japan for 3 weeks in which we went on many bicycle tours, but this one nearly broke us down halfway through.

2. Why do you travel?

James: Freedom.

Alexia: I started traveling 3 years ago. It brought a lot of independence to my life; a new language, him (pointing at James). We met when I came to Australia and then we moved in together.

Before that, I traveled in many places around the world; Thailand, Malesia, Egypt, Tunis, and in Europe. My conclusion is that everyone should move from where they are, from their comfort zone. It teaches a person a lot of things, as they say: Life is like riding a bike, to keep your balance you must keep moving…

The best learning is to learn from every experience. When you travel, there's black and white. There could be problems like if you lose your money and such, but there's also perspective and teachings, so instead of dwelling in it, I laugh at it.

3. What is your next destination?

Australia, tomorrow! We're moving to Sydney. We're planning a long trip to Europe in a few months.
