רציתי להיות הרבה דברים בחיים… בהתחלה רציתי להיות דוגמנית. אבא שלי צלם וזה גרם לי לחשוב שזה עיסוק קל ולא כמו התדמית שהייתה לי בראש – שצריך להיות איזה אדם מדהים או ‘חיית מסיבות’ כדי להצליח בתחום.. אבל ההורים שלי לא ממש אהבו את הרעיון, והראו לי המון צילומים של נשים רזות נורא, שנראות 'עור ועצמות’, וזה שכנע אותי לרדת מזה.
אחר-כך רציתי להיות מיילדת, אבל מהר מאד הבנתי שאני מאד לא אוהבת מדע, וזה חלק גדול מהלימודים… הבנתי שמה שאני באמת אוהבת זה להיות עם תינוקות, ולזה זה אני לא צריכה להיות מיילדת, אני יכולה גם להיות בייביסיטר – וזה מה שאני עושה היום בחלק מהזמן, מטפלת בילדה קטנה. אני חושבת שזה תמיד יהיה תחביב שלי, גם אם זה לא תמיד משתלם כלכלית.
והיה עוד דבר שרציתי להיות וזה כבאית. זה תמיד מאד הלהיב אותי ואני לא יכולה לחשוב על עבודה יותר מתגמלת מזה !
הסיבה האמיתית שרציתי את כל הדברים ההם היא, כי אני ממש לא אוהבת לשבת מאחורי שולחן כל היום. תמיד נראה לי כזה מתסכל, שעמום כזה שגורם לך להשמין ולשנוא את החיים..
באופן אירוני, זה בדיוק מה שאני עושה כיום ! אבל יש סיבה מאחורי זה.
כיום אני מעצבת גרפית, וזה בזכות מורה לגרפיקה בקולג’ שהיוותה עבורי השראה. היא הראתה לי צדדים מהנים של זה, ואפילו שעכשיו אני רואה גם קצת מהצדדים הפחות כיפיים, אני נהנית מזה מאד! זה יצירתי ומרחיב את הדמיון.
אני נהנית לעשות את זה עכשיו, אבל לא אעשה את זה כל החיים שלי.. זו הסיבה שאני שמחה עם זה עכשיו.
החלום הבא שלי הוא לזרום עם החיים לאן שהם ייקחו אותי – לטייל, לחיות, לאהוב, לאכול, לפגוש אנשים ומקומות מדהימים. אין לי את 'החלום הבא’ – זה תמיד ירגש אותי לא לדעת מה נמצא מעבר לפינה הבאה. ישאיר אותי ספונטנית, ואני מקווה שזה יוביל לעבודת חלומותיי בסופו של דבר.

I wanted to be many things in life…At first I wanted to be a model – my father is a photographer and this made me think it was easy and you didn’t have to be stunning or live the life of a party animal. I then changed my mind, once my mother and father talked me out of that one after showing me numerous amounts of women who look like skin and bone.
I then wanted to be a midwife – but very fast I realized I hate science .. and found out you have to look at women’s fannies all day. I just wanted to be with babies all day – which is why I am a part time nanny now. This will always be a hobby whether or not it pays well.
I then wanted to be a firefighter as I couldn’t think of a more rewarding job
The real reason for all of these is because I didn’t want to sit behind a desk all day getting fat and hate my life. Ironically this is what I do now, but where there is a reason behind it.
It suddenly becomes more interesting and time seems to go fast and feels just as interesting as an action job when you’re sitting on the edge of your seat ploughing through deadlines by the skin of your teeth. Which leads me to my job as a Graphic Designer.
I have been inspired by a graphics teacher at college. She showed me the fun aspects of it and although now I see the not so fun bit I still thoroughly enjoy it. It’s creative, and freedom to broaden my imagination to my own choice. I enjoy doing it NOW, but will not do it for the rest of my life…this is why I am content with it.
My next dream is to take life how it comes. Travel, live, love, eat, meet amazing places and people. I have no next dream – it will just be to not ever know what is round the next corner. To be spontaneous and hopefully that will lead to my dream job eventually.
